Getting Psyched!

I come from what a lot of people now consider a big family. I have three younger brothers, Josh, Brandon, and Shawn, and two happily married parents, Steven and Helen. A lot has been going on in our house over the past week. This upcoming Saturday and Sunday is the youth hunt here in Southwest Michigan and two of my brothers are going to be going out with my father. It has been tradition every year for us to go out into the woods and sit at least once ever since I was able to walk. I even used to carry a toy gun out with me when I was really little. So, we've spent the past few days dragging out the camouflage and washing everything with scent-block soap.
Major excitement occurred when dad brought home a new gun. It was a brand new youth sized .410 rifle for my two youngest brothers to use (Brandon and Shawn). They spent the following days waiting out the rain for the perfect weather to go test their aim, especially because this rifle did not have a scope, nor was bored to have one put on it. They also ran around the house for a day or two wearing their brand-new hunter's orange vest and hats.
Tomorrow starts the youth hunt, two days of extremely prime hunting where kids get to take a shot at the big ones before anyone else. I am too old to participate (as I was last year too) and so this year I will be the encouragement for Brandon, the younger of the two boys going out, on his very first hunt. I hope he has luck and at least get s to see something, if not actually take his first shot at a real deer!!
